The League partners with the UNC School of Government and the NC Association of County Commissioners to provide training for local government elected officials through the Local Elected Leaders Academy (LELA). LELA training is offered both in-person and electronically through on-demand webinars and provides the information and skills needed to lead and govern communities.
Elected officials who attend LELA course can earn credits toward recognition of their committment to learning through the LELA Recognition Program.
